Cold weather, warm thoughts, no mulligan necessary…

Teska is proud to announce that two of our fairway clients came out swinging, earning top spots on Golf Digest’s 2015-2016 list of best courses in Illinois. Lake Forest’s ‘Conway Farms Golf Club‘ ranked #10 and Highland Park’s ‘Exmoor Country Club‘ came in at #24. Teska has enjoyed a 13+ year relationship with Exmoor, which hosted the Western Amateur Open in 2012, and 2 year relationship with Conway Farms — we continue to work with both clubs providing landscape architecture consulting services.

A bit about the projects…

Teska worked closely with Conway Farms Golf Club to create landscape designs that thoughtfully expanded the clubhouse parking area while providing screening for adjacent residential lots. The Exmoor Board of Governors and Planning Committee selected Teska to provide a comprehensive analysis of the club’s exterior facilities and prepare a long range plan to direct phased implementation in a cohesive manner. The areas addressed included the vehicular approach drive, parking areas, golf cart circulation, pedestrian routes and club facility structures such as tennis courts, platform courts, the pro-shop building, curling house, outdoor pool, fire-pit, the main club house and adjacent terrace areas.

The intent of both course planning initiatives was to acknowledge the distinct culture and heritage of the clubs while providing for future club needs and uses.
