Lisbon Village Commons: Mixed Use Developments that create socially interactive communities

The Lisbon Village Commons is one of several private, mixed-use development plans that the site planners at TAI have been creating this year.

In addition to the Town of Lisbon, we have recently set the stage with development master plans in the towns of Port Washington, Delavan, Lake Geneva, Oconomowoc, Summit, Hartland, Merton, Delafield, Mequon and Madison, Wisconsin, as well as Lake Forest, Northbrook, Deerfield, Highland Park, Crystal Lake and St. Charles in Illinois. At a minimum, these properties range from 8 or 10 acres, but many are in the 60 to over 200 acre range.

The trend this year is to create something remarkable that adds value and creates an overall big picture as a lifestyle theme. Our ultimate measure of success is the creation of socially interactive communities.

Our design studio goal is to create a distinctive look and feel for each planned neighborhood that provides an intuitive central core where residents can meet, greet, and socialize. This effect brings value and marketability not obtainable “on-line”, and provides residents with a sense of community distinction, identity, ownership and pride.

Our master plan formula allows for neighborhoods to be built over time and in staged increments, satisfying market demand. When built, all pieces of the community puzzle fit together, increasing livability and value of the development overall.
