A vibrant, flexible brand identity for an evolving, bustling corridor
Chicago, IL
Project Highlights
Inspired by the corridor’s distinctive character and varied amenities, a new brand identity was created to show off a different side of Devon. The Devon Brand Guidelines serve as a comprehensive reference document that outlines the visual identity and messaging standards for the Devon brand. It ensures consistency and cohesiveness across all brand touch-points, from marketing materials to the built environment. The goal? Tell Devon’s story in a way that’s clear, engaging, and true to its character.
In addition to design elements, the guide covers other identity-bolstering themes, including messaging and various real-world brand applications. Because a brand identity is more than just logo, the guide dives into how the Devon brand can be applied to corridor marketing efforts, as well as placemaking and streetscaping (e.g. public art installations, sidewalk planters, light pole banners, painted crosswalks, etc).
This project was an implementation task of the Elevate Devon Corridor Plan.
"I am once again floored by your creativity, way with color and application ideas. This brand guidelines are excellent, perfect for the corridor, and implementable. It even has a poem... WOW. Thank you so much. I love it."
