Teska led the project on behalf of the City of Evanston. We were supported by Christopher Burke Engineering, CGMT geotechnical engineering, and Hacienda Landscaping. The park, which stretches approximately 13 acres across the City's west side, opened mid-August of 2020. Park upgrades were coordinated with preexisting conditions and the park's beautiful mature tree canopies. These improvements were made possible in part to a successful OSLAD grant and visionaries at the City of Evanston.

On opening day, the park was greeted by a group of smiling kids and parents ready for new outdoor adventures in Evanston. Amidst the age of COVID-19, parks and open spaces have become essential community assets for people of all ages.
