NeighborWorks Home Partners provides homeownership services including counseling, education, lending and development in St. Paul, Minnesota. With support from NeighborWorks America, the organization pursued expansion of services into adjacent Minneapolis.
Teska advised this expansion by meeting with stakeholders, prospective funders, and allied housing service providers to conceptualize and articulate the role that NWHP would play in Minneapolis. A financial feasibility study was developed to ensure that the expansion of services would be economically viable for the organization while meeting the housing needs of families in the region.
The business plan assessed the need for affordable housing, the gap in services currently provided, and the demand for NWHP’s products and expertise in several target community areas. The financial feasibility report established goals over the next several years and the subsequent need for grants and other funding sources to meet the needs of target clients.
