Working with a team of civil engineers, architects natural area restoration and wetland consultants we prepared the master plan for a 22 acre conservation open space residential subdivision. This property is contiguous to the 47 acre Wesleigh Farm designed by Teska and will combine into 69 acres of planned residential open space that includes interconnected trails and storm water management features.
The 22-acre site is owned by Lake Forest Open Lands and Preservation Foundation and is designed to retain 17 acres (77%) open space with trails through natural areas, wetlands, woodlands and prairie. To support the property purchase, nine new homes will be contained on 5 acres. The property is within the Historic Residential Open Space Preservation planned development zoning district which allows cluster housing as long as it is based on the same density as the underlying conventional zoning.
Teska Associated provided overall land planning, entitlement and landscape architectural permit plans for the property.
